Medical Doctor (m/f/d)

Your mission

As a Medical Doctor at mama health, you will help turn one of the most unique patient-generated healthcare datasets in Europe into real science. You will work at the intersection of medicine, AI, and real-world evidence to shape publications, research collaborations, and medical quality across our platform. You will:

  • Drive our scientific publication work end-to-end: shape research questions, design studies, coordinate co-authors, and help bring papers from hypothesis to publication.
  • Build and maintain medical knowledge foundations across our products: indication-specific databases, clinical reference systems, and medically robust AI outputs.
  • Review and approve medical and patient-facing content: ensure scientific quality, clinical accuracy, and defensibility across the platform.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders: academic partners, pharma medical teams, patient organizations, and researchers.
  • Translate patient-reported data and AI-generated insights into clinically meaningful conclusions and real-world evidence.
  • Help define how AI and LLMs can responsibly be applied in healthcare and medical research.

Your profile

  • Medical degree (Approbation or equivalent required).
  • MD/PhD or active doctoral work is a plus.
  • Experience with scientific publications and familiarity with the publication process.
  • Strong understanding of study design, clinical research methods, and biostatistics.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for technology and AI-driven healthcare; excitement about working with LLMs is essential.
  • Strong scientific writing skills in English; German is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership and strong initiative.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment with high standards and rapid iteration.
Bonus points:
  • Strong publication track record in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Clinical experience in one of our disease areas.
  • Prior experience in health tech, pharma, medical affairs, or CROs.
  • Familiarity with real-world evidence (RWE) and patient-reported outcomes (PROs).
  • Exposure to MDR and/or EU AI Act topics in a medical or research context.

1) a Patient App that helps chronic patients find answers to their daily questions - using best in class multi-agent systems and proprietary data
2) a Patient Journey Analytics Platform to see real time patient needs, roadblock and what needs to be done to improve patients care
